New Bacon & Eggs Recipe
1 package of bacon cooked until crisp and then crumbled
1-8 ounce package of Crescent Rolls
1 and 1/2 cups of grated cheese (I prefer Colby Jack)
4 eggs slightly beaten
1 cup of milk
1 small onion or 1 bunch of green onions minced
1 tablespoon of dried basil
1 tablespoon of garlic powder, not garlic salt (the bacon already has plenty of salt)
1/4 cup of your favorite salsa
fresh ground pepper to taste
Roll out the Crescent Rolls onto a greased 9x11x2 casserole pan. Sprinkle the grated cheese and crumbled bacon over the dough. Combine everything else except for the basil and pour it over the dough. Sprinkle the basil over the dough and bake for 20 minutes at 425 degrees. Let cool for a few minutes, slice and serve.
Makes 16-20 squares
